Whenever individuals live together, discipline is necessary and, this is
especially true for an educational institution. This discipline is
formative, not repressive. It leads the student to develop self control,
which is the essence of a well ordered and successful life. Therefore, the
school requires of its students to conform to certain regulations, aimed at
the growth of the entire school, and more so, of the individual student.
- Every student should carry with him/her daily the school diary.

Children must be in their respective class rooms at least ten minutes
before the time fixed for the assembly to commence.

All pupils are expected to be present for assembly during which they pray
together.

No child is permitted to leave the school premises without the permission
of the Principal, which will be granted only at the written request of the
parents.

On school days and for all functions children should wear the school
uniform. Children who come to class without the school uniform must bring
a note of excuse from their parents or else they will be sent home. In
winter, the sweater should be simple, without any design on it. Children
are not allowed to wear jackets in school. They are allowed to wear
blazers as per the colour of the uniform.

Running, playing, shouting and whistling inside the school building is not
permitted.

Proper care must be taken of the school property and no pupil should
scratch or spoil the desks or chairs or damage any school furniture, write
or draw anything on the wall, or in any way damage things belonging to
others. Damages done even by accident should be reported at once to the
class teacher or to the Principal. Any damage done will be made good by
the one who does it. Anyone who sees something damaged should report the
matter even if he/she does not know who has done it. No pupils should
bring razor blades or any sharp instruments to school.

All should be particularly careful not to throw any paper, peels etc. any
where on the school premises. They should use dustbin especially provided
for the purpose.

No books (other than the text and library books), newspapers or
periodicals and electronic gadgets like Transistors, Cameras, Mobile
Phones etc. should be brought to the school.
- All students must speak in English in the school.

Money should not be lent or borrowed or articles exchanged between the
students.

No collection for any purpose whatsoever is to be started and no meeting,
demonstration, party or picnic may be held without the previous permission
of the Principal.

Presents to the members of the staff or other demonstration on their
honour also require previous sanction of the Principal

The school is not responsible for articles or money lost. Students must
not bring valuables (like expensive watches, pens etc.) to school.

All letters and correspondence addressed to pupils are subject to scrutiny
by the Principal.

Parents and guardians are not permitted to walk into classrooms or
interview teachers during class hours. They are encouraged to visit the
classes at any time on the second Saturday of each month, to discuss the
progress of their children with the teachers.

The name, class and section of the pupil should be clearly mentioned on
all his/her belongings.

The students should behave in a refined manner wherever they go. They
should always remember that the school is judged by their conduct. They
should always greet their teachers, elders, friends in a pleasant and
audible tone of voice wherever they meet them in school or outside.

Cycles must be locked and kept only at the cycle stand. No vehicle should
be driven in the school campus. While entering or leaving the school gate,
one must walk instead of riding. Students of the school are strictly
prohibited to drive or ride scooters, motorcycles, cars to school.

Students who come to school escorted by servants should never leave before
their servants/guards/escorts/drivers arrive. In case of delay they should
report to the school office.

Students are not allowed to receive visitors or to make phone calls during
class hours unless the matter is very urgent.

Enrolment in Bethany Convent School implies, on the part of the pupils and
parents, willingness to comply with the requirements and regulations of
the school.

The Principal has the right to suspend any pupil without having to state
any reason provided that she is satisfied that such a step is necessary in
the interest of the school.
